SEMANA LLUVIOSA PARA DORAL Y EL CONDADO MIAMI DADE (Doral Agosto 28/2023- Redacción Doral First). La tormenta tropical Idalia se fortalece en el Caribe mientras se encamina hacia la región noreste de Florida. Idalia estaría impactando el Panhandle en la madrugada del miércoles como huracán categoría 3 con vientos de hasta 115 millas por hora. Las autoridades de Florida y el gobernador Ron DeSantis advierten a los residentes de 33 condados que deben prepararse para una semana con fuertes lluvias y posibles inundaciones por lo que se ha declarado el estado de emergencia para esas localidades.
En Doral se esperan vientos entre 25 y 30 millas por hora y aumento de las lluvias a partir de las horas de la tarde de este lunes. En el Atlántico el huracán Franklin con vientos de 11 millas por hora se aleja hacia el noroeste y a pesar de no amenazar las costas floridanas será responsable de lluvias en el sudeste del estado.

(Doral Agosto 28/2023- Redacción Doral First) La alcaldesa Chrsiti Fraga reiteró su invitación a los residentes de Doral para que acudan a las instalaciones del ayuntamiento este lunes 28 de Agosto y sigan rechazando la operación de la planta de reciclaje Covanta en los predios de la ciudad.
La reunión contará con la presencia de la alcaldesa del condado Miami-Dade, Daniella Levine Cava y el comisionado del Distrito 12, Juan Carlos Bermúdez.
POLICÌA DE DORAL INSTA A RESIDENTES A PARTICIPAR EN EL PROGRAMA “ACADEMIA DE POLICÌA PARA CIUDADANOS”
(Doral, Agosto 28/2023 – Redacción Doral First) El Departamento de Policía de Doral instó a los residentes de la ciudad a participar en su programa de Academia de Policía para Ciudadanos que comienza la próxima semana y se extiende hasta el 25 de Octubre de 2023.
El programa creado por la policía de Doral es una gran oportunidad para que residentes y comerciantes se familiaricen con las operaciones policiales de la ciudad. Los tópicos que incluye el programa son:
- Investigaciones en la escena de un crimen
- Infracciones de trafico
- Uso discrecional de la fuerza
- Operación de vehículos
- Demostración de unidades caninas en vehículos policiales
El programa comienza el miércoles 6 de septiembre y se extiende hasta el 25 de Octubre de 2023. Los interesados deben llenar la aplicación en https://www.cityofdoral.com/police/
