GAS PRICES REACH RECORD AND THE WORST MAY BE YET TO COME

by Camila Escarceti

The average price for a gallon of gas hit a record on Tuesday nationwide, and industry predictions expect the worst could still be yet to come.

According to the GasBuddy blog, gas prices could continue to climb even during the whole summer.  “Gas prices will continue to climb through Memorial Day as summer road-trip season begins and oil prices remain volatile”. The specialized blog states that the long and expensive year for motorists will continue.

According to AAA the increase primarily is due to higher demand for gas and the high cost of crude oil, which was hovering near $100 a barrel last week and is now closing on $110.

In the meantime, the answer from President Biden didn’t satisfy Americans who criticized the administration for not having a plan to stop the inflation.

“I’m going to ask the people with money and millionaire companies to pay their taxes so they can help us to decrease inflation”, Biden said.
