UP TO $3,000 – New Doral Grant Program Offers Lifeline to Families Facing Unexpected Financial Hardship

Doral, FL – The City of Doral is proud to announce the launch of the Emergency Hardship Grant for Families (EHG4F), a new program designed to provide direct financial assistance to Doral households experiencing verified financial hardship. This compassionate initiative reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of its residents.

The EHG4F program offers timely and transparent relief to households facing unexpected crises such as job loss, medical emergencies, or sudden loss of income. Through this initiative, eligible residents can receive up to $3,000 per household to help cover essential expenses including housing, utilities, or emergency childcare. Payments are made directly to verified service providers to ensure accountability and proper use of funds.

Applications for the program open December 1, 2025, and will be accepted during the first ten (10) calendar days of each month, until available program funds are exhausted.

“This program is something I envisioned early on as part of our commitment to putting Doral families first,” said Mayor Christi Fraga. “Life can change in an instant, and sometimes even the most hardworking families just need a helping hand to get back on their feet. The EHG4F program gives us a way to provide that support with dignity and care, ensuring that no family in Doral faces hardship alone.”

To qualify, applicants must be Doral residents for at least 12 consecutive months, meet the household income limits established by the City, and provide documentation demonstrating a verifiable hardship. Only one award per household will be granted within a 12-month period. All applications will be evaluated collectively at the close of each cycle to maintain a fair and consistent review process.

For full requirements and to apply, visit the City’s EHG4F website. For more information or to schedule a pre-application meeting, contact Constituent Services at ConstituentServices@cityofdoral.com.
