(Ver nota relacionada, LAS INCOSNSITENCIAS JURIDICAS DEL ABOGADO ALCALDE JUAN CARLOS BERMUDEZ)
TEXTO DE LA COMUNICACIÓN ENVIADA A LA DIRECCIÒN DE DORAL FIRST.
In response to your inquiry, the clear legislative intent of the City Council was to amend the Ordinance to allow for a one week qualifying period commencing on the second Monday in July and ending on the following Friday.
The use of the word “second” prior to Friday in this particular year leads to an incongruous result that does not meet the intent of the Council. Thus the use of the word “second” instead of the word “following” is a clerical error.
The Ordinance will be corrected by replacing the word “second” preceding Friday and replacing it with the word “following”.
Regards,
Connie Diaz, MPA, MMC
City Clerk
MDCMCA Past President
City of Doral
