Los vecinos de las principales vías de Doral han reportado una sensible mejora en los niveles de ruido gracias a la acción oportuna de la policía que estableció puestos de control en lugares preferidos por los dueños de estos vehículos para mostrar quien tiene el carro mas ruidoso.
A lo largo de la NW 114th avenida y la NW 87th Avenida, los patrulleros emitieron 132 citaciones y 27 advertencias escritas desde el 1 de enero hasta el 16 de febrero de 2022. De esas multas 10 fueron directamente para autos equipados con escapes que exceden el nivel de ruido permitido dentro de áreas urbanas para vehículos tanto públicos como privados.
De acuerdo con los estatutos de Florida (FSS 316.272) todo vehículo de motor debe estar equipado permanentemente con un sistema de desfogue en buena condición y que opere constantemente con los aditamentos necesarios para evitar el ruido excesivo. En ningún caso el sistema debe superar los decibeles establecidos por el Departamento de Protección Ambiental en cooperación con el Departamento de Seguridad Vial y Vehículos.
